Glad to finally be here. Been following this forum for awhile and decided its time the join the family since my 1996 j30 just got back home to Papa after a long 3 months of wasted time for a heater core and blower replacement done by my supposedly trustworthy mechanic which i will not let work on my car again. Anyways i just got it back and now im ready to get it going and modded with some help since i will be doing most of the minor work myself. Plan to purchase all the necessary tools and work on it in my garage. Got it originally for $800. heater core bill $450. replaced the brakes and rotors myself because they were very bad where the car would shake upon braking. the previous owner (a woman) never cared to change them.
I have posted some pictures of the car. was lucky to run into a black one with black interior (which is my favorite option on all car i buy)

Cons so far.
*Airbag light flashing ever since i got it back from the shop.
*Havent done FOG yet since its throwing a knock sensor code- when checked with a scanner but no CEL. weird
*Noticed tension rods are done for -therefore will need replacing
*No service records from previous owner -therefore im considering a timing belt and water pump job and service the transmission before its too late and wish i ve done it sooner
Some Future Mods
*Make sure engine and transmission are A ok. No real mod under the hood since itll be my DD. May do a cold air intake or short ram.
*suspension upgrade. 300zx aftermarket fronts struts with z32 lowering springs bought from swimshark and s14 rear full coilovers. Later on i will do a swimshark mod once i can get a hold of the parts
*ajustable tension rods (good prices seen on ebay)
*strut tower bar. (not sure where the heck i ll find that but ill look)
*Upgrade to z32 calipers (front) not sure what part i can use to upgrade the rear
*drilled rotors
*HID---cause i cant see well at night with those light. miss those from my stolen civic
*Turn signal mods

*Paint job
*J30t spoiler i got from the local junkyard
*Have front seats and driver door panel redone.
*would love to change those stock wheels for some 18 staggered rims or any advice. offset and dimensions appreciated
*Head Unit. preferably toutchscreen. i love my BOSE speakers therefore i really want a head unit that can work with the factory speaker setup without major mods
