hey everyone, i am a newly acquired j30 owner and couldn't be any happier from my 93 except for a few things, recently my car has been stalling just shutting off in motion it starts right back up but its kind of scary because i loose power steering and brakes which make it difficult to stop any suggestions, it happens a lot after large bumps if that help im thinking somethings loose but what?

Welcome to NICO!!!

Could be many things. First place Id start is checking the ECU codes. if its an intermittant connection in the engine this would tell us immediately. it might rule out a lot.

Hmmm how would I go about checking the codes? And I have a few more questions regarding the radio I've read about the bose so when mine crapped out I decided to buy a new headunit something cheap just to listen to some music till I saved enough money to buy the pioneer avic d3 in dash navi so a few hours later and 700 dollars later I ended up with a headunit an amp and two 12" subs right? I'm good with car audio and stuff but I bought the installation at circuit city where they sold me the wiring harness(I will get to that in a min) amp kit and rca cables + everything else needed. When I got home I realized that I needed radio and I would have them install just the subs and amp at my apointment tomorow right? So I take out the blows (I meant bose) get evrything out fine mount my tray and everything when I realize the goons at circuit city didn't sell me the right harness I need the ea4 or whatever where can I buy that? And should I just get my money back and do the sub install myself. How hard would it be to run the cables? Ty guys very much

If you are using your stock speakers then you will need the conversion adapter for the wires to connect up to your head unit. I cant remember the exact part or name, but i got mine at best buy about year and a half ago and that was the new head unit now works with the stock speakers with the speaker amps and the sub I installed. For the AMP wires, try going through the engine pop on teh driver side, or go through the passenger corner panel.
