turbo is all aftermarket in the usa no 240's came with turbos. i say get one at least 1991 and up ( they all have the ka24de, 89-90s all had SHOC ka24e motors) if turbos are your thing you might want think about KA-T or SR20det either way there both good,

when shopping for one, sence you dont want a lot of work, I sugest finding one that is really good condtion to star with.

he just really wanted to get the point across

but im not set on a turbo they are just Fun

but i want somethin dual overhead cam if they make em and from what the wiki said the 89 - 91 have dual overhead cam 2.4s and that fine by me

anyone know if it screws with the engine(in a bad way) changing the cam and chip?

89 and 90 are single cam, 91-98 are twin cam. by cam and chip... you can switch out the cams and have the ecu tuned, but on a NA your best option is a bolt on turbo and a TUNE for the best upgrade (or swap). chips and cams are so early 2000 hondas...haha

and if you have to ask if a cam screws with an engine, you might want to stay a bit and SEARCH.

My friend put a turbo on his after the clock hit 210k and it lasted til 260k (he tracked it hard) , if you have good compression it shouldnt matter about the mileage, just as long as the motor is in fair/good condition.

i've searched pretty much what comes to my mind with 240s, this site has A LOT of info on how to fix problems and ways to get around stuff cheap, I think I've virtually seen a 240 on this site, and I don't even have one yet. Man, i need a 240

Your 240 shouldn't be in the shop daily, but being over a decade old and some of them 2 decades old, you'll find little things here and there that needs to be replaced.
