So i bough a cheap intake off ebay. Ready to install now. Im thinking of just putting on one piece at a time, starting with the cone filter, and seeing how i like the results. My main question is do i need to oil this cone filter? I know K&N needs oil every so often, just wondering if this needs it too. Thanks

Cool. I just drove it home from work with the cone on it and i love it. The sound, throttle response, and looks are awesome. I dont think ill even onstall the tubes that cam with the intake kit. I will be getting a K&N though....eventually. Thanks for the help

I have a 2001 manual maxima with the injen intake. It sounds great and gives great response.

If it really is a cheapo cotton gauze filter, you will end up regretting it later. Filtration will really suck... in a bad way... you are just drawing in more crap to your engine.

I had a Fujita CAI on my '04 for a few years, and my throttle body is FILTHY.
