OK, i recently ordered a cone air filter and adapter plate off enjukuracing.com. My question is about installation. (Car is a sohc s13) There are two wires that go into the air box, held in with two screws, with what looks like a little capacitor in the box. Im not sure if im explaining it well. On side of the airbow pointing towards the steering wheel, in about the middle, is a little sensor type thing, held in with two bolts, and it is connected to two wires. My question is, where should i stick this when i put the cone air filter on? Everything else will still be the same, just the metal adapter will hook onto the metal piece at the end of the plastic pipe, and the filter hooks up to that. Yes i did try a search, but it was hard to find since i dont know what it is called. Thanks for any help you can offer!

you were kidding right? what elvis is talking about is the IAT (intake air temprature) sensor. the adaptor that you bought should have a little fitting to screw it into. my injen cold air had a spot for it.

Yeah... it's the IAT sensor. The MAFS is a little farther down line from it. If your adaptor is junk it won't have a fitting for it... I imagine Enjuku would provide you with a decent unit though.

But, if there is no place for it, then you've got a few options:

Tape it up and tuck it away.

Unplug the wiring clip that it runs to... and install a 3.3k ohm resistor in the vehicle side of that clip. Then tape it up.

Or, drill an appropriate hole somewhere farther down line in your factory intake tube... and install it there.
