I just brought a cold air intake. I have a 91 nissan 240sx hatchback with a ka24de. I installed it on my car last night. At first it started to run like crap so I just took it a part and put it back together tighter. It smoothed out a little bit but it was still running lower rpms then usual. My car use to run at like 900 rpms, now it runs at about 500 to 400. Also the car shifts funny when im driving. I checked the transmission fluid, it was full and clean. Just in case Im going to do a flush and full tomorrow, Its automatic. I didnt touch the maf sensor. I sprayed it down with air intake/ choke cleaner. I did the same to the IAC unit. all the vaccum lines that were connected before are connected now, except for the big hose that came from under the radiator. I searched the forums for that and they said that it was use to heat up the cat. converter, and that otherwise it is useless. There is also a little female connecter next to where the intake starts that is not plugged into anything. I really need help fixing this because it feels as if my transmission is gone but it was just rebuild and there werent any problems with it before i put in the intake. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

that might be a problem spraying the MAF with choke cleaner...its harsh stuff. Did the hose that you searched for come off the stock intake? If it did probably put that on. everything should be similar to stock.
