basically working on a dual maf intake setup via a Selin dual MAF translator. it auomatically converts the signal from the 2 mafs to the one plug so you dont have to upgrade your ecu as well. my friend is trying it on his NA 300zx and he said it def gives better throttle response. i will post more on this soon with dyno numbers.

Interesting.
I wouldn't mind getting that setup for winter but unless I could move the intake down for CAI the summers here would be an issue.
Its 16 degrees here in DFW lol It would work well right now !!

yah it was cool how i saw an instant 10whp gain from it. even though mine is manual, gains seen on the auto would be the same.

So you have to get this kit, buy the cupplers, and filter seperate?

so would doing this require relocation of the battery as well?? ive actually had a similar idea in my head for a while to do the two pipes like that, but then have them point upwards, attach a small box the size of a filter to the pipes, then do some sort of hood scoops on the hood of the j so that air would flow in there.

is there a purpose of having 2 MAF's?? shouldn't just one MAF on the driver side intake throttle body be enough??

you you have to get the fittings, couplers and filters separate. with the way it sits, the battery would be in the way. also having the battery in the trunk makes the engine bay a lot cleaner looking. i got a sound system and tools in my trunk too so trunk space is not a big concern. i have seen some people just do a piping setup that utilizes one MAF and it works. the purpose of the 2 MAFs is that is reads each side of the plenum more accurately and the change is much quicker with a shorter intake. from the manual stand point i would say it was worth the money. a lot better throttle response and you can definitely feel the power. the sound is awesome too.

go to 02:24:00 and you can hear how it sounds on the dyno

they are wanting me to try a dual JWT filter setup with the velocity stacks. they said i would see another 3-4whp with those as well. once i get a job, i will be looking to get Nistune for my ECU and going to get it tuned. should be in the 220+whp range after that.
