About 6 hours in, redid my plenum pull to change injectors. Knew I would have to do it for some time, but didn't have the cash. I purchased a spare set of injectors from a junkie, sent them to Deutschewerks for rebuild, and I just got around to doing it all today. Took about 6 hours in the rain. I elected to do spark plugs also, since I had been DUMPING fuel in with the bad injectors. I figure I was getting about 7mpg for MONTHS...of course, that could have paid for parts, but we know how life goes. The car chugged and REEKED of gas. It was also hard to start, would have to crank 7, 8 times.
I now have ruined cats, o2 sensors, and exhaust. At 180k I was due anyway. I purchased H-pipes back from another junkyard unit and got the o2 sensors from there also. I was told the car had 72k on it, so I may use those o2 sensors. At least the rear 2, because they are easy to change if they do go bad.
Nice day for the Q - she deserved it. Now I need to decide between a new Dell or a full exhaust for my baby, think I know the answer. Damn.
