Not good at all. I installed a new injector, and now the car just runs like crap. It is missing on the number one cylinder (the same place where the new injector is) and when I unplug the injector harness, it runs a tad better but still is missing. What is with this??? Also if I take the wire harness that is located above the rail and pull it upwards towards the passenger fender the engine runs smooth for a second then runs like crap again. I am having a very hard time figuring this one out and I have to work at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll check back every once in awhile to see (not going to sleep untill fixed). Thanks in advance.

Edit: By the way the injector is a reman and when I re-installed the old one it ran even worse. When I pulled into the garage, the car ran decent, but not perfect (hence the reason I was installing the new injector. The old one had a cracked cap etc etc.).

might sound stupid, but did you replace the o-ring, and if you did, did you accidentally tear it while putting the injector in?

The new injector came with all new O-Rings. And I also got a "seal-kit" just in case. Now I did hook up a pressure gauge to the feed line between the rail and the filter, and with the ignition on (fuel pump activated) it goes up to about 45 psi, but as soon as I pull the key out, presuure drops down to 0 and the #1 cylinder is full of fuel.

So now I am going to switch out the new for the old again with the rail off of the intake manifold and see if does the same. It is obviously leaking somewhere inbetween the injector bowl and the actual injector, into the intake port. So I'll post in a few, to my findings. By the end of this whole adventure I will probably be able to answer all kinds of "fuel injection" related questions

Yeah, the O-ring was my first guess too. When you pulled up on the harness you were probably pulling the lower seal back into place--probably pinched, or rolled over past the groove. Be careful to not hydrolock on the gasoline.

change your oil as soon as its fixed, there will be gas in it.
