Cruising around AliExpress tonight I stumbled across this. Seems too good to be true but has anyone bought one and installed it?

Chinese garbage. Stay away. If you want modern technology from your infotainment system, go with GROM Audio's VLine VL2 system (I've done a writeup/install on it on here). These Chinese units have been tried on the FB group and most people say they are vastly underpowered, low on memory, etc. and therefor slow.

That being said, changing your thread title to new infotainment option, dashboard is the thing covering the front of your interior :).

i bought one of those and it's fine. The biggest plus is the larger and more responsive screen and no audio lag when playing videos. Grom has a audio lag and it's very annoying.

I took a closer look after your post (I was on my phone earlier) and I do have to alter my statement. The chinese units that were tried on FB were like 4GB of memory, etc. This one seems to be double that and it is Android 12 (which is significantly refactored). GROM, for example, is still on Android 8.1 IIRC. So I'd say, definitely try this unit out and report back. Maybe I'll put the GROM in my wife's QX60 and get this for my car instead? lol.

Which one did you buy? Any video(s) of it in action?

i bought this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256802937332786.html
i got the vendor to fix the ac display issue, but they weren't able to display the tire pressure from bar to psi

recommend you buy from a different vendor. i had to fuss with it a lot to get a bunch of the basic settings to work.

Thanks. Appreciate the heads up about the tire pressure issue. I could see that annoying me.

Which specs did you go with? Any videos of the new screen in action?

i must stress DON'T BUY FROM THE VENDOR I BOUGHT FROM!

i went with the 6g ram. everything is smooth. the bluetooth module sucks donkey balls. it'll connect my phone, but not my pedal commander. there have been no software updates since i've bought this. TBH, i don't think it's actually android 11. The device page says 11, but another app i installed says android 10 :gotme
the ad page says 5G, but that is total :bs:
it is only 4G LTE capable with a add-on dongle and wifi 5 (AC)

with all it's flaws, it's still much better than stock or grom vl2
the large screen is much nicer and brighter.

Lol duly noted, I won't purchase from your seller.

The little nuances of items that don't work or don't work properly is a little concerning but then again it seems like no option is 100% perfect.

Does your screen have the dual function? Meaning yours still retained the factory settings? It feels like I've heard and seen about some screens completely taking over while others retains the factory system but I could be wrong..trying to research these things is frustrating lol

O yea, the seller claimed it "does", but only sort of. It doesn't work very well. I need to tell the radio it's in a g37 to get some of the comfort settings working.
