Hey all, First off I would like to introduce myself. I'm Jeremy, I purchased a 2000 I30 this weekend from Columbus, OH and I have to say that the car is fantastic. It has 95k miles on it and I purchased it for $5500. I've been a Jeep owner ever since I started driving and this car is just really fun to drive and very luxurious! Also, I'm very happy to have found this forum as I've been reading a bunch of posts and I see there are quite a few of Louisville Maxima and I30 owners.

I really enjoy the car but it has a few hiccups (or annoyances) I'd like to fix. I read the FAQs and tried searching for a solution to no avail. I'll just list'em: -The cruise control doesn't work. The Green light comes on at the Gauges, but when I hit set, no dice. This was rough for me coming home from Columbus, OH. -The driver seat only works when someone small is sitting in it or no one is in it. I'm a big guy (6' 5", 245lb). The seat will slide back with me on it, but up/down/forward and the back laying down/leaning forward doesn't work. I'm thinking it's a tired motor, what do you all think? -The seat warmer on the drivers side only works for the back (no buns) or maybe it is very weak. Any ideas?

Again, I'm glad to have found this forum. Looking forward to helping out any way I can.

Welcome to NICO!

Heck of a find there bro. Definitely look forward to some pics. Plus you have to join us in Nashville for NICOFEST (Import Alliance). Anyways, on to your problems. I recently had the same cruise issue on my 93 Sentra. Now, my guess is that the cruise on the I is not ran off of vacuum. I found that the vacuum line on my Sentra was cracked. I repaired it, and voila. Fixed.

With the seat, my money's on the motor, or whatever moves it. The heating portion is a little odd, I would say check the fuses, but the heated seats should be one fuse. Not multiple fuses for bottom/back. I would recommend checking out the FSM for further information.

Sorry for the delayed response. If there are any other questions feel free to ask!

So, yesterday I took out the drivers seat and everything worked fine for a bit. I could hear all the relays working. However, soon after putting everything together the same problem started happening. All the motors stopped working. I could say that maybe one or two of the motors is old and tired but I doubt all four of the motors would be faulty. I'm beginning to think it is the controller board.

Another thing I noticed is if I slightly press one of the switches, the motor would go in the opposite direction (ie. tilt the seat lever back, and the seat would tilt forward). So, very odd to be sure. Anyone else had this issue?
