On my search for a second car for the family(after I totaled my last one a few months ago), I settled on a 1998 Infiniti I30T.
I made this choice on the reliability of VQ motors, moderately pleasing to the eye, not terribly slow, and decent mileage.

My previous car was an 03 Acura TL-S, every bolt on possible, and suspension. I loved everything about that car, but i sold it to buy my wife a new minivan, so I was stuck with her old car to commute with, a Mitsubishi Galant. With that car totaled is when I began looking for a used car that turned out to be the Infiniti.

Now that's I've bored everyone to tears I have some questions.
Keep in mind that I am mechanically inclined and did all the work on my old car myself.

I am having a hard time finding CA SMOG LEGAL aftermarket parts for this vehicle. Most links on this site that I have found through the search function are either for non smog-legal, or the link doesn't work anymore.

I am specifically looking for a RAM air, or COLD AIR intake.
I will also be looking for headers. Are there any companies that make CA SMOG LEGAL versions of these parts?
Custom exhaust will probably come from a local shop.

I don't mind non-smog legal intake as I can swap on my factory one when it comes time to smog it again, but the headers are too much work to have to do that.

My last vehicle had tremendous aftermarket support. I was hoping this car would have more due to sharing similarities with the Maxima.

I don't expect anyone to search out the provide links to these products, just the names of the company that produces smog legal parts.

Thanks in advance.

From what i have read from this website, the CAI makes a lot of noise but generates
little power on the maxima

A lot of people are using CATMAN exhaust but that's not dual exhaust. Word seems
to be headers don't generate much power on VQ30DE

But I am just a maintaing type of gearhead so I am sure you will get a totally different opinion

It seems that the OEM has a lot of restriction. I'm looking for a safe way around it.
