Just got mine today from Southwest a NICO Sponsor (195.00 Shipped). Anyway this is suppose to be the one that is much quieter. I will post some pics this weekend of the new shifter and let you all know how it goes. It had some instructions on it but nothing about C clips you have to remove. By the way my stock shifter SUX. When in gear you can move it several inches all around. I figured I might enjoy this as much as my S14 seat!!

B&M shifters rock! Theyre pretty quiet until you hit the 6krpm range, then it starts to howl. Just giving you a heads up. But it may not be with you

This shifter has been on back order because B&M have made some improvements on the noise factor. As far as 6k rpm that won`t happen until I get a SR!! But anything has got to be better then that stock piece of CRAP!!

I love my B&M. I have heard it depends on your shift knob as to whether or not you hear the sound all the time. I have the Nismo leather knob and I can't hear the sound at all.

yeah, i made the mistake of the CF nismo knob (free) but incredibly light and cant really handle the bulk of the B&M...i suggest something that's >5 lbs as a shift knob lol...like a cat

On a SR, the howl at 5-6k, is gone. On my KA, man it rattled louder then my exhuast.

If I get home early enough today I am going to start today. I will take pictures of the new shifter before I install it to see if anybody with an older one can see a difference. I love fall weather it is meant for Performance!!

Well I got it installed yesterday. WTF is it with 6 bolts holding down the Dam Shifter?? Had to crawl under that dam thing and get those out! The new shifter feels so much better there is no comparison to stock. This is the shifter that should have come with the car!! I am very pleased with the B&M shifter. I love to shift now instead of trying to get in the right gear that OEM PIECE of *&(^(&*$^$& CRAP shifter! By the time I get done with this car there will be no OEM parts left!! Anyway I will try to get these pictures posted.

You have to be carefull and get out the old white bushing or else the new shifter won`t fit.

Im wondering if it is possible to cut the stick, alittle shorter....I like the looks of the actual stick being alittle shorter...anyone think its possible, without breaking anything?

believe it or not the power in the next gear up would be less when you shift rather than pushing the motor up all the way to redline.

The s13 ka's redline starts at 6500. If you put their cams in your s14, you should have the same redline as well.

Ok so I broke down and bought a B & M....My OBX was just not cutting it. It was slipping up and out of the place while shifting into 5th...Not cool...I picked it up for 200...not too bad...Just received it today, and I have to say, it LOOKS like a very quality unit....can't wait to install...
