I just bought a 2000 I30 last night with only 36k miles on it from the original owner, some older lady who lives across the street from a relative's home. What would you think is a fair price?
Any problems areas to watch out for on these cars? A few people mentioned having issues with the ignition coils and maybe the MAF sensor. Any other pattern failures?
I still have to go thru the car, change the oil, etc. hope it turns out to be a good one...

With only 36K on it, you should have no problems whatsoever for a while. Great find. My guess on price range would be around the 10-12K mark? Get some pics up!

I bought it for $8000. I was in a hurry cause I needed a car FAST.
I will try to spend a little more time this weekend cleaning it up, change the oil, etc.

no doubt.. great buy.. the only other thing is about 100k youll have to change the knock sensor.. other than that have fun driving
