Finally got around to switching my forums now that I am an Infiniti owner .. Let me say Im loving my new (new to me) 2006 M35... With that being said I'm having a bit of an intermittent issue with my car starting. Usually she fires right up no issue .. A few times now it's cranked then went quite first hit of the button .. Then always fires right up second try . I've done some googling and research and I'm wondering if it could be a battery issue or maybe some bad gas . Thoughts about this or some information would be super helpful thanks .

Welcome to the forum!
Ant time you experience weird things with electronics or starting, the first and easiest thing to check is the battery. If the cables are not VERY tight, all sort of weird things can happen. I would check the cables first. If the problem persists, drive to an auto parts store and have them test your battery. These cars act up even before the battery actually gets very low.
Since you just purchased the car, I would take it to your local Infiniti dealer for an oil / filter change. My dealer allows me to bring my own oil (Mobil 5w30) and they charge me about $20 for the filter, drain pan bolt change, and labor). They will do a free, thorough inspection of brakes, fluids, tires, battery, brakes, suspension, warning codes, etc. Mind you, there is NO need to have anything on this list done by them, but it gives you a good starting point for your maintenance. The service rep will probably be able to tell you about the car's history as well.

Thanks for the info ! I have already had the oil changed after I bought the car and had the inspection done .. I've tackled a few minor issues the previous owner was letting go .. One being the door trim was a little loose and flapping against the door at highway speeds I couldn't handle it. I am going to start with the battery as I have heard this car doesn't like low voltage .
