What's up y'all, New to the Nissan scene. My Girl and I just got a 2012 Altima Coupe 3.5SR It's clean and drove great so she fell in love. We actually own a 2012 Lancer Ralliart which is mine so not new to the car world but to the nissan world. Any tips or thing we should look out for? Anything seem to go wrong with these cars or they pretty well rounded. What would be some good upgrades other then the basic Headers/Exhaust and Intake. Any good programmers out there? Anyways thanks any help or input would be grreat!

Welcome to NICO!
Nice purchase! Those are fairly quick and handle decently enough. You'll enjoy driving that a lot.

I'm not able to really answer your questions, but we do have an entire section of the forum dedicated to the Altima and Altima Coupe. There is loads of information, content, and how to's stacked in there.

Enjoy your stay, and enjoy the car!

Is the car a stick shift, or CVT?
Good call on the 3.5 :)

Hey, Thanks! It seems to be a pretty strong motor. Well lol, its the CVT I've taught her to drive a manual with my Ralliart BUT She did not want to get another manual so.. But i'll give it to the car its pretty quick with the whole "NO SHIFTING" Smooth too. I don't mind it though. Happy wife happy life right? :chuckle:

If she's happy, she's probably the first documented person that is happy with the CVT.
I suppose there is a first time for everything!

Hey SanoSuKe, Got to give it to you I've browsed the forums and seen your car. CLEAN, very nice build bud. Seem like you've put alot of time and hard work/money into it.

BTW, Do yall know of any good programmers that work for the 3.5? And what are some good parts to boast Hp gains, I've read the car has 270Bhp which probably is only like 235-250Hp to the wheels? I just want to pep it up some

Thank you!

You could use the Bully Dog GT tuner or a real tune with real gains like UpRev tune. But I'd recommend getting that after you get full bolt ons at least.

Just get all the bolt ons and the BD Tuner since you have the CVT and just stop there and focus on looks.

Alright, Yeah I really wish we could of found and got one with the 6speed. We go to car shows with my car and are now going to take both cars. Thanks for the info though think We'll just do bolt ons and enjoy it. Either way it'll be sweet to ride out with both our cars to the local shows here.

I've had my 08 3.5SE CVT coupe for a few years now, but I have a bent wheel and want some good wheels. I'd like to keep the size as close to stock as possible because I still have good tires. Anyone have any suggestion for some nice 5 spoke wheels that will match up to the stock size? Does anyone know the stock offset and how far in I could offset the wheels without any fender mods? Thanks guys.

A little off-topic lol but I'll reply just in-case you check back.

Try to keep your aftermarket wheels in the +30 offset. Obviously 5x114.2 bolt pattern

My apologies for being off topic a bit, but this was the first thread I came across with a new Altima owner asking questions...I used to be quite active in here, and you guys taught me a lot about my RB swap I did in my S14 years ago. I put everything I had into that car and was absolutely in love, so when I totaled it I just kind of slumped out of the car world.

As far as being a new Altima owner, I may as well be! I haven't really looked into upgrades before now, but I'm thinking about getting back into it.

Does anyone in here know how to fix the incessant vibration in the right rear speaker? My research shows this is a consistent problem with the 08's and replacing the speaker doesn't help. Any suggestions?
