Hey all. So I'm new here and I really want to get a 240sx to get into drifting. I've been looking around and found one on craigslist for 10k, and wanted to know if this was a good deal for everything that it's modded with. Thanks for any help. Looking forward to joining the community :D

Here's the link btw: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/1725109747.html

Whaaaaaat, why is he selling that car? It's so good looking. Anyway, 10k is a bit high for ANY S chassis, but that one is cleaaan.

Haha yeah I agree, it is very nice looking. But as far as having the appropriate mods to get into drifting is it a good buy? Also, are SR20's good engines? Really don't have much knowledge on these cars yet :P

Edit: What's an S chassis?

hella clean. SR20s are good engines, well any engine is good depending on what you want to do with it. Since you are getting into drifting its great. But for your first 240 10k is a bit steep. I don't know how deep your pocket are so i wont really judge. All i can say is, its your money if you want it go for it.

Alright, thanks for the responses. One last thing. Are the coupes any worse for drifting than the hatchbacks? I've been watching some drifting videos and I notice that I don't see very many coupes compared to the hatches or S14s.

i doubt there is any difference in weight between them, i just think people choose hatchback to go with the 180sx type x look most the time. Idk for sure tho I have a s14 zenki

Buy a junker if you want to drift. That way you cry less when you wreck (Which will happen)
