Hi.

I own a 1991 toyota celica GT ...custom turboed at the moment.

The car is 13 years old and isn't getting any newer : ). And no matter how i mod it , it will never be RWD....

so here's the deal.

I want to sell all my turbo stuff + restock and sell my car .

This leaves me with around 5k dollars and i will have some left over parts

(kenwood head unit, amp ,subs, msd blasterSS , air filter, my AFC...etc)

what years 240SX are the best. I want something 94 or newer ...so i can have a car that's less than 10 years old : ). Can i do that with 5k ? can i do it for 3k and have 2k left for mods ?

Any reliability issues ?

Mods ? (i'm thinking of the bolt ons + a little bit of nitrous on occasion) ...but given that this engine is bigger and more rev happy than mine i think i will be very satisfied with just the NA part of the setup.

Finally , how boost happy and nitrous happy is this engine.

Yup i have the bug....but i also want something that won't drain my wallet till it stops to understeer.

any / all comments appreciated.

(i used to be a mod on celica.net... the poeple there are never gonna talk to me anymore if i do this :D )

nuke

I think selling your car for a 240 is a very very wise choice. I used to own a Civic and I was from a crew called "Team Autobots" for a while.. (http://www.autobotsforever.com) and things were getting stupid. I wanted a RWD w/ stock turbo and I did some research and the 240 would get the job done correctly. I sold my car for $5200 and I bought a 89 240 for $350. The same day, I got it towed and dropped in a 96 blacktop SR20DET. It works wonders! NOTHING compared to a FWD car. It's totally different and you'll love it. The power is great, the handling is stable...and the engine has been reliable for me so far. I've had ONE problem but that was due to a bad transmission seal and it was fixed right away...you're gonna love it
