the s13 is really slow in stock form and you will get crappy qaurter mile times. stock ka24e with exhaust- low 15s with really good tires if you rock at driving.

the s13 is not for you unless you have alot of money for a new engine and even more if you not gonna install it yourself

EDIT the kae has like 140 hp, maybe 135. thats not at the wheels

its 140hp at the flywheel

you need to go turbo, otherwise you can maybe see 200whp...under boost it can go about at far as you want (jk but you can see some pretty lofty numbers depending on budget)

imo suspension is the best place to start, and thats also going to be what you hear from most people on here...

what kind of budget are we talking here?

but i still have no clue about your budget, does it all depend on when you sell your car?

these cars stock are already much better handling than any civic or rsx, believe it or not stock for stock an s13 pulls the same skidpad number as an nsx, or around .9g...if thats how youd like to compare it. but a nice set of coilovers and tires and such can quickly improve on that...

all depends on how much you have

0.9 is a littly lofty for a stock s13, i think its around .82. But change out some of the crappy suspension (even just a bigger rear sway bar helps) and you'll get it up there. Just don't expect it to be fast in terms of straight line speed. 240's are definantly more fun than civics though, despite overall slowness.

no its .89 actually, i have multiple magazine articles from back then, they all get results around there...you have to remember that was brand new, now your right after ~11-16 years of wear they probably pull low to mid .8s. brand new civics on stock suspensions pull low .8s, theyre probably wearing out too, but we know 240s out handle civics.
