yep. its a shame, I would have rather had a 5 speed truck, but for the price I p[aid I'll take the auto, I just sold a 84 cavalier wagon with a 4 speed manual, I loved that little car.

Yeah I can't stand auto. Don't like it. When I drive auto I feel like I am not as much in charge of the car like I am when I drive a stick. And here is a funny story on how I learned to drive a stick. My grandma and grandpa had a big farm. I kinda got raised up by them. When my grandpa thought the time had come for me to learn how to drive he took me out to this big frozen lake. It was a disel landrover 1964. He said "here is the clutch, here is the brake and this is the gaspedal". Told me in short and basic words how to work them all together. Then closed the door and said I am walking home. Do not come back without the truck. Hahahaa best driving lesson ever. Only took me 5-6 hours to learn to work the pedals and drive the car and also I was stuck out in the middle of this big icy lake so I also learned how to drive in a slippery situation :rotfl

Yes, we look forward to seeing some pictures when you have a chance. You know, having an auto trans is not the end of the world---at least with the V6, and the 4 cyl of your vintage has enough power to make it interesting, I would think. I commuted to work in my truck---that's where the auto shines---you still have energy to work when you get there! I went through some hairy conditions and made it home safely when lots of other vehicles were in the ditch and I never had much to complain about with the auto trans.,especially with the floor shift. Don't get me wrong, now that I no longer commute to work, I wouldn't mind a 5 speed! Regards, Gary

ok finally got some pictures of the truck at the shop, belts are starting to sqeak and saw some cracks. so i went ahead ordered a set of belts. ill guess i do a write up for the belts if u guys would like. yeah i love driving stick and as of now feels like 2nd and 3rd gears are grinding a bit, until the engines warms up. im going to have to try a drain/fill with some new nissan fluids with some kind of additives. if not off to get rebuilt. lucky enough for me my old master tech that trained me has been with nissan since they where datsun!
