New here: soon to buy 2009 2.5 SL with nismo package in white

Hi everyoneBefore I met with the dealerships this weekend to finalise a deal on this car... I was hoping for some good advice:1. After test driving the car, I found that when I floor it, I hardly got any torque (jump) from the car. The salesguy said that I should have held the gas kind of 3/4 of the way down and firm and the CVT would kick in with a lot more power. Is this true?

2. I am getting the price of CDN $32 000 all in (including tax) with the nismo package and with 19 inch msr wheels. Is this a good deal?

3. I would like to get a mesh grill put on but if I buy the aftermarket part and have someone else put it on... or myself... would this void the warranty? I'd also like to get the CAT exhaust (?) system put in. What does that entail?

4. Finally, for those of you who have bought this brand new... did you get the extended warranty??

What's a NISMO package? Never heard of it...it's certianly not a factory option, that's for sure...

You have to realize that the engine has not been broken in yet and that flooring it might not always do a lot....it also depends on how the car has been driven for the past 100 or so miles - the car learns your driving habits and uses them...pamper it, it'll drive pampered - floor it, it'll drive like a bat outta hell...you just have to get used to how your CVT will react...

HeyThe Nismo package is a factory installed option on the 2009 models.This includes the skirts in the front, side and back and the rear spoiler.I'm also getting tinted windows and 19" white wheels with performance tires. I am going to get an aftermarket grill from carid.com

Whats the biggest wheel that I can get on the 09 2.5S? 21 inch?

Lol, going to the Nissan Canada site I see this now...why can't we get this stuff in the states?

You could probably get a 21 on there, but why? They're going to be heavy and cumbersome, not to mention pretty much destroy your ride quality...

And as for the grill and any body part, they will not void your warranty for your warranty does not cover the aesthetics of the car. And I'd strongly advise against 21s, lol. Personally I'll be getting 18s soon but would never go over 19.

You're right. I don't think that the Nissan Canada site is updated with this... I was at a dealership yesterday and they said the same thing... but the Nismo package is quite commonly sold on cars in Toronto....

So no 21" inch wheels? alright.. thanks for the tip.What about 19" - would that ruin the ride?

I have heard of the 3/4 thing has somthing to do with the fact that when you stop on it and click the little button on the end it just makes the revs go redline and does not allow the torque coverter to kick in right

I got the car! Brand NEW White 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5SL with the Nismo kit and white MSR rims (18").... tinted windows...The only thing thats missing is fog lights... any ideas what would be a real nice set and where (and how much) could I get it?

Looks super sweet.... drives awesome! Already put 135 Km on it since last night!... I'd like to post pics... just have to figure out how....
