welcome! That's awesome that you were able to find an SE in 5spd. I searched for 6 months and ended up with a base model :(Anyway, welcome to NICO, you'll find a veritable wealth of information here. The Search button is your friend ;)

As for your car, we're always interested to hear how much you payed, see pictures, and hear about your future plans fir the car (if any in particular). Also, what part of San Diego are you in? I'm up here in La Jolla going to UCSD.

You'll find that the fit and finish of your 96 240 will be as good or better than the 03 wrx...if the previous owner took care of it. :)

once you go turbo your 240 will be faster than the WRX, and it won't have those bug-eyes. :)I suggest looking into the Greddy KA-T kit (~$3000) if you want to go KA-T. Rumor has it they are attempting to get CARB certified, thus making it legal to use here in the Golden State. It also puts down 210hp on low boost. SR is always an option as well, but I like the prospects of the KA-T and more torque ;)

Regardless, good luck with it, 52k is sickeningly low miles, which explains the higher price.

or you could grab an intercooler and then up the boost on the greddy kit (comes with fuel management system) and easily make 300whp

congrats on the car!!

yeah power can be found many ways, thats another reason why the car is such a great car! 300whp is fairly easily obtainable through the KA-T or SR. Post some pictures when you get it =)
