new here and new to owning a 240

traded my 04 gti for my friend's 95 240. It has a couple minor problems and was just looking for some help.
1) the speedometer doesn't work and not realy sure why or where to start to figure out whats wrong or how to go about fixing it.
2) Passenger window doesn't work but the driver window works if i use the passenger window button.
3) Engine has been swapped and i has an ac compessor and pulley but doesn't work.
the rest is just cosmetics which i plan on fixing with the help of the tech articles here.
and help would be great

Well you can start by checking all the fuses in the interior and see if any is blow. and if the engine has been swapped then you will need to check if all the wires to the body harness are in the correct place. sounds like the windows have been swapped somewhere too

check the passenger door and make sure the harness is plugged in. your cluster is probably dead unless its just not plugged in. and what swap do you have?
