Ok so i recently got in a car accident and my car is gone:(So ive been looking for a new car and this guy is selling his s13
cause it cant go into reverse here you can check out the add and yes its on craigslist lol but yeah and i also found people selling the transmissions for cheap its a KA by the way so im wondering what your advice is on this buy?please dont go ape s*** on my a** just thought i would have you guys help me out with advice cause im a noob.

price might be alittle high considering it most likely has qwerky issues. I would look at the car first to make sure all it needs is a trans. You can haggle on the price for that problem too.

Yeah luckily im in the military and most of my friends are mechanics and we have a shop on base thats for soldiers to use for only 5 bucks an hour it has every tool you could need in there and lifts

Any mods in the engine? He says the car is easily worht $6k but he didn't post mileage, title, and other minor details.

Yeah im still asking questions i got a few pics he sent from what i can tell was just alot of interior mods and as far is engine not sure sure cause its kinda getting late over here and im just gonna talk tmrw about it but ill let you know.
If it check out to be pretty good im planning on doing a swap

Ok well the engine has 153,000 miles on it tried to make him budge on the price got it only down so far from $3800 to $3600 and not sure if he will go lower cause the new paint job,rims tires,rotors,sparco seats,nismo point seat belts,widebodykit,and other mods mostly seemed like looks more then performance just seems shady to sell for only $3600 doesnt it the trans should cost to much if i can get one cheap?

Well first things first, you should try and see if the guy can verify all the so called items are real or not. Check the paint in person because he could claim it being a professional job could end up being a cheap $500 job. Me personally I think hes asking a little bit too much.

it's in Hawaii, where everything's a bit more expensive...

by going by what he listed and that single picture, it's seems like a decent deal

knock ~500 off for the trans fix & it should be a decent bargain if everything else checks out OK during the follow-up
