hey everybody, I am new here and new to Infinitis. I am currently looking at the G35. I live in New England, so the G35 all wheel drive sedan would be perfect in the winter. I wish they made the coupe in awd. I notice that the coupes have a nice, throaty, deep exhaust note. Do the sedans sound like that? Also, how does everyone like the navigation system? Thanks alot !!

You need to go test drive a few and tell us what you think. We all love the G...sedan or coupe.

Sedans do sound a little different. The midpipe and muffler are different and this is mostly because of the trunk and how it resonates.

I can only really comment on the '05 G35x, but the AWD is awesome for snow travel (some will argue that a lot if depends on your tires though).

the nav changed from 06-07, and I'm not really a big fan of either, but so long as they are accurate, that is really all that matters.

We bought an 07 G35x sedan last year. It survived the New England winter without any trouble at all. In fact, the AWD does a nice job compensating for slick conditions. I found that the car would regain traction almost instantly rather than starting to really slide.

The one big difference is cornering in snow. You have to be a little lighter on the throttle, or wait until you've completely made the corner, before hitting the gas. The back end will whip out on you if you don't. I was used to front wheel drive so I had a habit of hitting the gas a little too early.

I have no problems with the navigation unit. I like that you don't need to use it in full screen mode; you can press the "status" button until the bottom half of the screen is a simplified version of the nav.

Should be the same basic advice in rain as well, just the degree changes. This I believe is where a FWD biased AWD car has a certain advantage (besides towing).

Mine went very well except that it was actually a little on the low side considering they did not plow most roads during our snow storm this winter.

The navigation is kind of iffy to me. Most of the time it gets me where I need to be, but there are some hiccups once in a while.

I never ask the Navigation to tell me where to go. I just use it as a map that changes on the fly.
