Recently got ahold of a 300zx car is a beauty. I love driving it so far and hoping to keep it for a long time. Figured i would join a community of people who share my interest in it and also who might be able to help me with future problems as im not the saviest of mechanics.

lol ill post some pics up in the morning, just signed up for 2 300zx fourms. Seems people in both fourms want pictures. Good thing too i could use some advice on where to start with my Z.
It's pretty clean as far as i can tell but being as old as it is i have some issues with it already that i know i have to tackle head on

sounds good but i think i have to fix my idling problem first , i also think the Z may be leaking oil.
When the car sits still and idles it dies any suggestions where to start?

Vacuum leak? That's where I'd start. Idle air control valve is another possibility.
