Hey All:

I have an '04 G35x just used up the last of my factory warranty and am looking to bump up the fun factor of my G35x - right now she is box stock save for tire changes (Bridgestone Potenza), an iPod Adapter through the XM radio input, and a K&N Filter.

What am I looking for in Mods? Faster - a plenum seems like something I want, intake and exhaust on the list... ? Will need plugs / brakes / fluid x-changes soon -

I also have a small crack in my stock front bumper some meat head bumped me while parallel parking with a receiver hitch - Be advised this is my daily driver and I am in Wisconsin it does snow (hence the x) and want to put a aero type front bumper on - will it look odd at stock height? Will I be plowing snow?

Will the plenum effect cold weather drive-ability?

With the list above what is a logical order?

Any and all suggestions welcome and thanks in advance - I love the forum and appreciate all the posts I have been browsing all morning -

Jeff

Welcome to NICO!

Check the G-Series FAQ (link in my sig) for tons of info.

I would do a JWT or Stillen PopCharger, Z-Tube, Motordyne 5/16 spacer, and a CAT-back exhaust. That should get you started.

or

Spend the $$ upfront and get FI for huge gains.

in my opinion the Z-Tube and Motordyne 5/16 spacer are must haves for a g35... they "fix" what we should of had out the factory...

next would be to get rid of the huge mid pipe on the sedan and add a struct tower bar (like the 350z has)... im really mad all these parts are not on the car from the factory... But then there wouldnt be any NICO sponsors...

The aero bumper is only a quarter inch lower. if you're willing to buy one of those, then you're probably willing to spend a few benjis on other things. If all you have is $150, you can get 15hp instantly. A z-tube and a G35 Coupe/FX35 midpipe. The Z tube from a nissan dealer, and the midpipe from someone who's selling it used. Or just get a Whole intake kit and Catback exhaust and Plenum spacer or Plenum. Before you get any mods, Go get a Trans flush, with the new Matic S. Spark plugs too, then when the mods are done, have your ECM stuff reset: Idle air, self learn, alpha monitors, etc.

You can get an idea of what others are running by looking at their signatures. Most people post up mods they have.

plenum spacer is a must, z-tube is a must....exhaust is also a must.
