Ok I got to the point where I want to dish out some money and finally start upgrading the Z. I only have about 11,000 Miles on it, its a 2008 350z. Its Auto, wish it was standard, but was last new Z on the lot.

So far I only have the Nismo Dual Cold Air Intake on the car. Sounds amazing!

I was looking into headers, but I remember reading somewhere that the HR had the best headers and that aftermarket ones would lose powers. Is this true?

I am also looking into getting rims next, black with a chrome lip, stock rim size not bigger or smaller. I have the enthusiast model. If anyone knows of any place that sells them besides ebay leave a post with the website thanks! ASAP would be nice seeing as I want them fast.

Now for mods, as I was saying I was looking into headers, but want to hear about it first. How about exhaust? Is stock exhaust any good or are there better aftermarket ones?

Exhuast I was looking athttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r50MxrLvCUhttp ... ?v...lated^ I cant seem to find t anywhere on the net! A link would be nice.I dont like the way it looks, but whatever it sounds very good to me.

Next, is test pipes. I was looking at these and they got pretty good reviews from what I heard from some people.http://www.hopupracing.com/hesstepini35.htmlNow the only problem people said they had was like a rattle at around 4k at the RPM, and when they said they changed the Y Pipe it went away.

That was the next thing I was looking at was a Y Pipe anyone know of any good ones? If so please please please post a link! This is it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-5-ZngD3ZU

Also anything else that would be great for performance please recommend!thanks so much!!!

Hello and welcome to Nico! Congrats on your purchase. Can we see some pics?

The first thing I'd like to say relates to purchasing a car: Never settle. This will be your car for a long time hopefully, and seeing something that you would rather not have gets irritating fast (like an auto transmission...) I would never in a million years buy a sports car with an auto transmission. Ruins the fun. Even if its the last Z on the lot, there are other lots. Even if its the last new Z on the planet, I'd buy one used that has a manual transmission.

Now that I've gotten that off my chest, lets look into your mod choices. First thing to do when choosing mods for a car is ask yourself: "what will I use this car for?" Will you go to a track? 1/4 mile? Stoplight to stoplight fun? After you've decided, choose carefully what mods will deliver the biggest bang for the buck first. Go with well known companies that people seem to trust or recommend a lot. Ask questions. (Good start thus far)

As far as exhaust pieces, The people on this forum will probably be more helpful than I, as I waste most of my time looking into suspension mods than power adders. I have not heard that replacing HR stock headers with aftermarket makes you loose power. (But that doesn't make it not true...research it.) The test pipe-- I've heard that FL doesn't test emissions, is that still true? If so, thats cool, get a test pipe. If not, I'd think twice, as getting under the car every time you get an inspection can get annoying.

I would say that after you get a full exhaust, the next thing would be an ecu reflash if you are staying n/a.

I guess thats all I've got. This forum is a good tool, so don't be afraid to search and ask poignant questions before making purchases.

Thanks for the reply! Now I just want it for light to light action kind of thing you know. Would like it to be loud, but not TOO loud, a nice deep sound.

I know, I regret the Auto, but I am always on the manual mode, its still fun but no where as fun and stick. I always drove stick, this is my first auto-manual.

There are no emissions test in FL still which is awesome! My friend has a S2K and removed the cat and man was it loud but he did get a lot of cop attention and cop said he could fine him for having it off lol. But test pipes would be fine here.

But anybody with good recommendations please post here! Thanks!

Here are my pictures of the Z recently taken:
