Just got confirmation that I was able to get a set of the JDM Xenon projector headlights from the Tiida. Can't wait to get them installed this Spring.

That depends on your version of pricey. They definitely weren't the $200 off Ebay for the Angel Eyes. But, they are factory parts in Japan, so I get a little break on them. Still not cheap, but affordable for me. And to have the second set that I know of in the US is just a bonus.

So this JDM Xenon part, is it all plug 'n play? Does it require an entire new wire harness or will the stock on work? If it's that easy, I may have to get one. This is MUCH better than just upgrading the lightbulbs!

Where did you buy it at? Can Bob carry these?

I won't say they are 100% plug-n-play. The high beams won't work with the Versa harness. We have two solutions to this, but one is not really feasible for most people because it involves programming the BCM. I don't think most dealerships can do it. The second involves relays being wired inline with the low beams. We are working on the relay set-up to make it a good system for consumers that involves plug-n-play. Give us a little time to get it figured out. They are usually a 6-12 week wait and I bought the only other set in the US that I know of other than Bob's.

I bought them inside Nissan, but these are the same parts that Bob currently carries in his store. We will have a workable solution to the high beam functioning correctly in no time. If you want a set, get with Bob and get a set on order from Japan.

I will await the "the headlight beam fix" before I go and spend some cash on these babies.

Agreed! I'm going to wait for this plug 'n play fix before I get these things. I've always wanted projector headlights in my car. Almost bought some cheap ebays ones on my Honda.

I had a pair of cheap eBay's as well they were better then the stocks though on the Honda.

To me headlight output is #1 safety for me as I drive a lot at nighttime. I do not mind spending a bit extra on something that may save my life.

I bought them from Nissan Motorsports. You guys can order them through Versaspeed or Micro Image. Neither have them on the sites right now, but both can order them for you. There are only two sets in the US (Versaspeed's and mine), so either place will have to order them from Japan. Cost, last I checked, was $1,400/set.

They are not direct plug-ins because the harnesses are different for the high-end JDM Tiida and the USDM Versa. I did the research to figure out the wiring between the two and know how to wire them to work with the USDM harness. Anyone that gets a set will get my full support to make sure they work correctly. You will need to wire a relay inline with the high beam to make them work correctly, but it's pretty simple.

They are pretty damn sweet though.

that is the usual response once the price is discussed.

it would be a lot cheaper to get a full projector setup out of an early 2000 BMW(for an example) and retrofit inside your existing headlights. I will be doing that in 2 weeks.

That is what insurance is for. Besides, you have to pay Canadian prices. I'd hate to get in an accident in Canada. :inoutgay:

Awwww, it's not that bad!
I wrote off my Topaz and a deer a few years ago.
Topaz always handled like mush, but even a full grown doe at 120km/h couldn't kill the motor! :gotme

Those headlights look awesome

LOL!
Ya it's not that bad here. Our dollar is pretty much at par now. And we have insurance as well.

*Knock on wood, I've been driving for 8 years and not one single ticket, warning, or accident.
