i just installed a Jensen 7" flip out touch screen and now my speakers are all distorted when i turn the volume up. i got the stock bose speakers in right now should i get new speakers or is there a way i can fix that?

tune your system that is one thing that you can do that will make it sound a thousand times better.

doesn't BOSE have a external amp in the Max's...if so, did you bypass it? That could be he cause of your volume loss and distortion.

like said, tuning would help

its probably the bose speakers but a good tune will help i took out my rear deck sub and it was cardboard... some great quality there.

When or how does it sound distorted? High volumes? Continuous background noise (engine noise)? All volumes? How is it wired? Did you use an adapter harness? Does the hu have an EQ or crossovers?It should sound better with a new hu rather than worse. The Scosche harness has gains on it which could need adjusting.

This is because Bose Runs an oddball 3 OHM setup. I have the same issue in my Q. The bes tway around it is either a) change out Bose, bypass amp, b) put Bose HU back in.

if i switch the stock bose speakers and a new amp will it sound better

there is a after market head unit integration for the bose systems made by PAC and also Periphiral that is basically a plug and play affair and it has level adjustments to tune the soundDino
