Dear Murano Owners

i just got 2007 murano S 56k on it. the question i now have is, why the Revolution needle not falling down below 2 when cruising? is it maybe i am soo used to traditional auto gearbox? but just doesn't add up... when i do over 40mph, the revolution needle flies over 3 and stays there, when i try to do over 60mph the revolution needle flies way higher to 5-6 and stays, then the whistling sound? i would normally get 8-10MPG both in town and on freeway?
My old prado would shift gear anywhere in between 1300-1800, but for murano, with normal and gentle acceleration easily reaches 6000 why? may this be a problem? putting this much stress on engine for prolonged driving would probably blow the engine out at some point right? thanks for helping out guys

Welcome to NICOclub! Sorry to hear about the issues, that certainly does not sound right. Your RPM's should not be that high and your gas mileage should be a lot better then that. I would get it to the dealer to take a peek. Sorry I don't have more info for you.

Sounds like a ecu problem or a belt slip or a clutch problem
