new guy with question

Hey everyone, i just bought a 1994 maxima i am trying to program the keyless entry on the door but it does not work. I wrote down the 3 differant numbers on the box next to the glove compartment and tried them and still nothing can any one help

You may need to take the registration/title to the dealer to see about getting a master code (if they even have one).

There is a master code, yes. It varies from car to car but the dealer can look it up for you. They may be able to look it up by VIN. If they can't find it that way, there's a pair of small number plates that originally came with the car (1/4 inch wide, on keyrings). One is for the master key reference (to have a perfect fresh master key cut by Nissan even if you've lost all your keys) and the other is the reference code for the master door code.
