Hows it going guys? I picked up a 1984 720 King Cab this weekend that I found on Craigslist. I paid $500 for her, the previous owner hit a gas pump barrier and smashed the driver side and busted the radiator. Luckily I found a complete 85 at the pull a part, I ended taking the hood, driver side fender, front bumper and lower valance. I went to 3 different pick n pulls but I couldn't find a radiator so I grabbed one from a 87 Nissan pickup. It fits but it doesn't allow the hood to close completely but I found one at a local junkyard. Once I get the radiator I'm headed back to the pull a part to cut the driver side radiator support out and welded it to my truck. The carb needs rebuilding but the previous owner included a carb rebuild kit with the truck, so that was a bonus.

The body is in decent condition for its age, some rust on the side of the bed and some rust holes in the bed. The color is a burnt orange, automatic and 2WD. I'm a mitsubishi guy so this kinda different for me, I've had three Mighty Max/D 50 before this truck. I've also had a 1999 Galant, 1991 GVR4, 1993 Eagle Talon TSI and a 1994 4G64 swapped Mirage. I still have my 1985 Dodge D50 its currently waiting on another engine, I had swapped a 4G67 into her but something snapped while I was driving it and trashed the engine. As of yet, I don't have any plans for the 720 other than to fix the body and use it as my DD/parts hauler

I'll post picture tomorrow after I pick up the radiator. One question would 235/75/15 tires be big for this truck?

Welcome aboard!

You snagged a great truck - the 720 is kind of a "forgotten hero" - A great workhorse.

Let us know if you need any help with it - Do you have a Factory Service Manual yet? If not, let me know and I'll give you the link!

I have 235 75 15s on my 83 and it works fine except for rubbing the inner fender a bit on sharp turns.

Finally some pictures, I didn't take pictures of the front before I installed the new panel. I took a sawall to it this morning, those Milwaukee torch blades went through it like a hot knife through butter. I'm going to get one of the guys at the shop to weld it together since my MIG is back in NC. I still couldn't find a radiator. I went to a local junkyard who had one listed on car-parts.com but when I went to pick up I was told they crushed the truck but could get a brand new one for $100. I ordered it since all the ones I've seen online was around that price plus Ill get this one the next day. So I go to pick up the radiator, open the box and its for a 86'-94' hard body

The wheels came with the truck but when I first bought it the driver side tire was flat. The previous owner left that wheel half way on the driveway and half way on the grass for so long that weight of the truck caused the rim to crack. He also installed 275/65 tires in the rear but I'm going with 215 or 225 all the way around.

Also when I removed the damaged part there was a bolt with a rectangular top, 14mm nut and 2 rubber garments. I holds the cab on the frame, does anyone know where I can buy one? And what seats are a direct swap? because it feels like I'm sitting low.

I'll have to do some more searching. I have the 620 truck manuals, but I can't find our 720 manuals.

Bear with me, guys. Also, PM "PeZi", he's a 720 expert. :)

I know little things about these trucks that manuals can't tell you. From digging into them and tearing them apart, I learned a lot. They're pretty straightforward, and an actual FSM isn't needed. I would still love to get my hands on one, though. Be sure to dig through our DIY thread!
