Picked up a pearl white 1993 300zx TT and loving it. It's in great condition and ran ok when I first bought it. Has 179k miles. Is that high? Things I did was changed oil and filter with mobil 1 oil and filter, changed rear differential gear oil with Royal purple, changed out fuel filter, changed out sparkplugs, air filters, cleaned throttle body and MAF sensor, and tested all fuel injector which was in ohm specs, but the connections were corroded so I cleaned them and replaced the connectors. Now the car runs great and no more check engine light.

Next will be all preventive Maintinance which includes timing belt, all pulleys and tensioners, all seals, waterpump, thermostat, valve cover gasket, pcv valves and all fuel and vacuum lines. Love this car and love working on them.

Is there anyone near Fresno, CA that can help if I need it? Thanks guys

All good maintenance work to be doing, and glad you're jumping on the timing belt kit. Another thing to consider is replacing rubber hoses with silicone hoses. Almost all the rubber are hard and/or cracked, which leads to problems.

As far as 179k goes, that's high if the engine hasn't been rebuilt. Don't want to get you worried, but it seems most VG30DETT's spin a bearing around 150-175k. However, there's nothing you can really do about that until it happens, so keep enjoying your car.

Welcome!
Glad to see you are on the right track with your Z, not so often new people are so thorough in all the right areas as you have been and plan to be.
I agree the mileage is a little high for a unmolested TT and some things may well be coming your way soon, but your maintenance will definitely help things for now and you can think about the rest soon after- that being engine seals, turbos, and even maybe as suggested more. My TT needed all of the seals replaced (not leaking bad, but made for boost leaks) at about 142K as it is now, but most everything else was in good condition. My NA went to 234K+ before a rod bearing spin, never heard it was a common thing but then again I had it happen- so again, good maintenance and religious oil changes are all you can do other than save/be prepared for a rebuild/swap, which obviously is going to happen SOME time sooner rather than later.

At 179k, you're 1k away from the 60K service.

And NOW a local Z guy comes on the forums from the San Joaquin valley, AFTER I move back to TN. I was stationed in Lemoore.
