Hello fellow Z lovers!

I followed this forum for a while and finaly it was time to buy my own Z! Its A 1993 2+2 TT i bought in september last year and i thought it was time to say HI to you guys. I had a lot of luck actually my 300ZX has 72k kilometers on it, had a engine rebuild 10k kms ago and also got new turbos because the old owner felt like it  . Im going to post a build setup soon (Sleeper - GTX2863r...) but first i have figure a few things out because i am from germany. For now i will stick to Haltech ECU + Boost Contorller + KW V3 Coilovers.

So i looked in the TireGuide and saw the 255/35/18 front, 285/30/18 rear combo. My question is if i put them on 9"x18" (front) and 10.5"x18" (rear) will the wheels align with the fenders and is there enough space so it doesnt rub?

My second question is: Does Anyone use the KW V3 Coilovers ? Are they good ? I want coilovers which are very good on track but also useable in a daily, but the KWs are the only ones with TÜV-Certificate (we need that over here so we are allowed to drive around with a certain mod).

I will post pics of my red Z soon!
Cheers

Gazrok

Need to know the wheel offsets of the wheels. Generally, 25-35mm offset with p255 wide tires on a 9" wheel is close to flush.
The rears, you will need a higher offset, like high 40's. You will need to check the inner wheel for linkage clearence.

Kw coil overs are one of, if now the best on the market. Check out specialtyz.com

Like itsa300zx said, it fully depends on offset. But it also depends on the style and shape of the wheel because if the offset is too high, like +35 or +40, the wheel won't clear the brake caliper. Most companies don't sell wheels with high offset anymore, usually +25-38 is max. with a 9 inch wide wheel the lowest offset you could go is probably +10 and in the rears probably around +15. but thats pretty aggressive fitment. if you're looking to stuff some steamroller 10.5's in the rear you're looking at an offset closer to +35 or +40. Basically the higher offset you have, the less chance of fender rub, but more chance they wont clear the calipers, and a lower offset has a higher chance of rubbing and poking.

Hope this helps a bit, theres also a good write up on here about how offset works. also i did a little comparison for another guy a while back if you want to look at that.

Agreed with all this above, but remember the rear brake calipers are relatively small. I have never heard of any wheel not clearing the rear calipers that are >16" dia, typically just the fronts.
