I'm thinking they had a Z24 out of the truck...themadscientist wrote:dude, that car is pimp. Those came with the FJ over here. What's under the hood, L, Z?
The FJ20 debuted in the S110s in NA trim.datsunboy wrote:hey "themadscientist" I'm pretty sure S11's never came with a Fj dude.....the S12 came with a few different engnines tho.....like....VG30, Z20, Z18ET, and FJ20ET. I think it was only US and possibly canada that got the FJ and VG in the S12's tho.....everyone else got some form of Z series motor.
Pretty sure ALL S11 and S110's came with Z series motors tho.
I've owned a S110 sedan and a S110 hatch. both had Z18E's in them
UUUHHH I want a 80-83 200sx, they are hard to find. I believe it comes with the NAPS-Z 2.0 litre, 8valve head. It isn't hard at all to frankenstien a KAE 12 valve head and ecu to upgrade and make more power. You will need to probably clover leaf weld the head or look for some raised dish pistons.Basically you have what is called the siamesed Lseries. All Lseries internals can defenitely achieve a good amount of CHP and high rev with minor modifying. I defenitely want one.Ed wrote:lol as the title says
I am new here and I just got a 1980 Datsun 200sx
here is a picture
So basically I would have a slightly smaller bore than the z22s. Doesn't sound bad, torque is good, it will just lose some rev.........deviousKA wrote:Actually Vinnie, like i mentioned above, the z20e/s is non-siamesed. There is a myth floating around that these blocks are siamesed, it is just that, a myth. The cylinders are completely seperate, do not join together.
In order to slap a 2.4 head on that 86mm bore z20, you will need to bring the bore out to at least 88mm (unless youd like lots of valve shrouding). This is the absolute maximum i would ever bore a z20 block.
Not true my first car was a HS130. I respect the oldschool S-cars. That S110 is in pretty good shape just needs alittle TLC.Mr1der wrote:they are pretty ugly really...but man, they're cool.
gotta love Silvias. pre '89's rule!
stupid S13 and 14 fanboys...
Wasn't the "hot" set up to use an L20B blick and the z22 head---or was that tyhe Z22 block and the L20B head?deviousKA wrote:Actually Vinnie, like i mentioned above, the z20e/s is non-siamesed.
