Ok Hello everyone, im a new guy to this whole nissan thing and ive got quite a few question's? Ive done the honda thing to death and lets just say im bored of it so im movin on to nissan. The 240 SX caught my eye but i would like to learn more about it, such as all the block id's sr20 etc... i dont know what they all are? Also i would like to find out where u get conversion body kit's at basically all JDM parts. Motor wise i want to be US spec no JDM so what motor would all of u recomend? That and im asking basically any helpful info u could muster up for me !

Craig, welcome to NICO! It's good to have you. The 240SX is a very good car with a lot of potential. As slw240sx has stated, there is a wealth of knowledge in the FAQ's and the Search button is your best bud. Certainly if you have additional questions regarding information you have found, don't hesitate to post them.

As far as the 240 motor goes, if you're not going JDM then you're best to stick with the one that came with the car, the venerable KA24(D)E. I've beaten Civic Si's with my mildly modded KA. I think you'll enjoy the torque!

If you're looking to purchase a 240, please feel free to paruse our Buy/Sell/Trade section. It's very active, so look beyond the first page when searching.

I actuallty did my lt1 swap on a saturday morning between breakfest and lunch. He asked for ideas, i gave him the best idea for keeping an american motor, which he might no know about because hes knew. Honestly turbo the ka, or get sr20det, or spray the ka.... up to you. Id say go with a turbo though, wont get a whole lot out of an all motor ka24de.
