what up people? so i got a 2006 spec v and on my list of to do things are a cold air intake, lowering, and possibly an exhaust. so what would be the cold air intake of choice. and about lowering can just get the springs or do i also need to get new struts, or do i gotta look into coilovers . now the real question is if an exhaust sysytem is needed to get the most out of my engine after i get the CAI. so if i am getting an exhaust system do i need a cat converter. as you can see i need some guidance.

THANKS

Intake - any decent brand, there are tons out there for the SE-R nowadays.

Exhaust - again, tons out there, depends on what kind of sound you want, mostly.

Suspension - Eibach Prokits will lower it a little less than an inch and work on stock shocks. If you want it any lower you'll need new shocks. If this is purely cosmetic, KYB GR2s will do the trick, otherwise you'll want something more aggressive.

Do some searching, this has been discussed at length several times.

Welcome to NICO!

seeing as you live in Cali i would not do ANYTHING to mod your engine because of the Extremely Tight emission regulations. you stick any kind of exhaust system on your car and cops will give you a ticket on site. With CAI you may fail visual inspection, not completely sure how that works.

that wont save you. people driving through strict emission states with a modded car (on road trips) have gotten tickets. i dont think they got out of them. just tryin to save ya alot of wasted money.

That's odd.

Here in GA there was a window tint law overturned when it was applied to out of state residents. You can't penalize people for following their state law and deciding to travel.
