Where are you stationed? I am close to Baumholder with a CA18 in my AE86 (still in the project stage, has been for the last couple of years  ).

You don't need the upper intake manifold if you guys want to do a 4 port swap. They're the same between the 8 port and 4 port. ALSO, you guys are going to have a HELL of a time getting the gasket for the lower intake manifold to the head. They don't have parts stores in Europe like they do here. You have to go to the dealer and they won't sell you anything without a VIN number.

I know all of this from experience as I have a 4 port head sitting in my garage and the needed gasket, which was about 5 times harder to get than the head.

It wasn't that bad FLOAT ;) I can get them easier now if you ever need them again. They won't be Nissan OEM gaskets this time but I can get them. Since I sent you that last gasket I have gotten a lot better at finding what I need here instead of always going through the stateside parts places. They have regular parts stores but if you go to the wrong one they won't give you crap unless you walk in there with your title book with all the information and key numbers for that car.

boostedgerman I sent you an email man. Get back at me because I will probably be interested in LOTS of stuff and I am about 15 minutes from your location!

I'm glad to hear getting the gasket has gotten easier! It wasn't terrible last time, but there was a time there that I was worried that maybe I wouldn't be able to get one and I'd have to try and make one from scratch, which I wasn't looking forward to.

I wouldnt be worried about the gasket. I could draw that on solid edge CAD software and use one of our HAAS cnc machines to make my own mls gaskets. i could use .010 sheet alluminum and cut 3 identical peices or for that matter i could machine my own stamp and use a press with a mounted fixture and stamp them out as well. My instructor Mike Blizzard is awesome, he made all the boot clips in the space shuttle that the astronauts use to lock their feet in place at their different work stations so Im sure he could help me with most anything
