Well, I've been on this forum a bunch of times but I've never actually posted. I must say, I really appreciate everyone's input because without you, I wouldn't be able to do half the things I have done to my car already! I want to give a special thanks to float_6969, sjbsuperman1425 and s13drifter88 for answer my never ending questions through PM's..

Well anyway, my name is Gabriel, 19 from Miami, FL! I'm on a couple other forums like SFLDrifters, and Zilvia. I drive an '89 S13 Silvia with the lovely CA18<3 I got really lucky with this car. I was originally going to pick up an GTR32 with rear quarter panel damage and a blown 3rd gear (Along with a number of other issues), clean title until a buddy of mine called me up about the Silvia. Went to check it out and fell in love.. The car is legit, FL registered etc, power EVERYTHING!, A/C, PS, full clean interior, minus the rip on my driver seat and some cool JDM goodies. The car and I have had our ups and downs but in the end, it's coming out how I want it to be. Now enough of the talking, here are some pictures..
Here's from the beginning to how she sits currently!

2009
Got her a couple of days before my birthday, was seriously the best day of my life seeing how it's my favorite car!
4x4 status haha!

Image
Interior is MINT!! No cracks on the dash, full interior, Silvia carpets, etc..
Image
Found a pignose lip for 25 dollars, and I love how they look on this front end so I couldn't resist!
Image
About a month before Christmas I ran into a little dilemma :( but that really didn't hold me back!
Image
Image
The next day I ordered new lights, and luckily found an S13 hood for a good price which is really hard to find! I fixed the bumper myself and the fender as well! (Sorry some of the pics are really small, they're cell phone pics!)

For my birthday the girlfriend got me a GTR grill!

Well after a few months of not buying anything I came across some P45R's that my friend was selling! Saved up my money and picked these babies up! Sizes are 17x9.5 +12 all around for those who were wondering. (Don't have any pictures of them when I first got em') Not a fan of the black/red lip combo so the next day I got to stripping them!

Got me some Nexen N3000's for 65 bucks a tire brand new! (235/40/17)

And got my buddy Juergen to mount 'em and balance for free!

Couldn't put them on without rollin' and pulling my fenders and everyone was charging an arm and a leg, so that being said.. Picked up my own PBM fender roller and now it's paying itself off!

Got to rolling:

I decided to pick up some speakers and a new radio seeing how my speakers were blown to hell and I hated my radio. Got an awesome price on my speakers (Inifinity Kappa 629.9i series) and radio from a friend of mine who works at Best Buy!
So we mocked everything up using the old rotting wood as a template (from the old speakers). At first we used a nice thick wood, but was just too thick so we couldn't fit it. My dad and I came up with a better idea and used aluminum sheets!
We used the wood templates to transfer them onto the aluminum, and cut them out. These things are sick!
Wood:[/B]

Aluminum!:
Image
Here's how we set up the front speakers: (That black sheet you see is plastic to prevent any water from dripping onto the speakers and screwing them up)
Image

Didn't get many photos of the back speakers after it was done 'cause I was mainly busy cutting out the back to fit the bigger speakers in. I'll take pictures tomorrow during the day, looks super clean!

Filed it down to make it smooth, speakers fit in perfectly!
Also had to cut out the wood/fabric part to fit the speakers (obviously). Doesn't look too clean but then again, the speakers go over it so you really don't see it.

2010/11
I hope you guys had a great holiday like I did! The car is coming together! Grandfather's Christmas gift was to help me do all the body work and paint the car! My parents got me a GT28R with all the gaskets and SS lines. Bye bye T25! With the money I got I'll be ordering a Tru Boost and a new front mount. 2011 will be all about swapping out all the bushings and upgrading fuel! Injectors, fuel pump etc.. For now, keeping it low boost but reliable. Some pics of the progress:

All we've done is pull the fenders a little more which still have some more work along with pulling the front fenders which we haven't started (So disregard the height for now!), put on the lip and side skirts (Still gotta put my grill back on and the rear mud flaps). We haven't even started on the body work yet! Yes I know, the car needs a car wash lol.

:D!

Ordered some new goodies from FRSport to get this girl up and running again. Got the AEM Tru Boost and the GReddy Air intake suction kit. Already took out the stock turbo, just waiting for these things to come in and bolt is all up! I'll be sure to post those pics when I get a chance and when it's running

Thanks for looking!

Nice car, young man :bigthumb: What part of Miami are you from? I'l have to make sure I keep n eye out for you if I'm ever on the street as your car is pretty distinguishable. As for my car, I too have a black 93 coupe with a silvia nose conversion as well as trunk conversion, but it's not as detailed as yours. If you see a black coupe on the street with a silverish-colored trunk, catch-up to me and say "Hi"...Don't try to race because it will be over before you change gears :yesnod. But keep up the good work and please "No drag racing" in Miami (This you should already know).

Nice ride bro. I saw you had the gaskets and stuff. Make sure you clock the turbo about 10-15 degrees clockwise to clear the manifold and also pick up the DIF .032 oil restrictor from FRSport for the GT28R. Keep up the good work man, sick car.

Hey buddy, good to know there is someone else with a CA from Miami! I'm in the Kendall area. Do you have a picture of your car I can see? I might have seen it around. Also, are you a member on www.SFLDrifters.com? I post there often under the username: GBDiaz
I definitely do not street race haha, I'm not fast either, so I don't see a point doing so. I don't like taking that risk! But for sure man, if I see you around I'll be sure to say what's up! Same to you. Thanks for the compliments!

Which ones? If you're talking about the wood one's I'll check the garage to see if I still have them and send them your way! The aluminum hasn't given in any problems, and I play my music really loud! But thanks for the compliments dude, and again I really appreciate your help!

Yeah, I was told I have to clock the compressor housing a bit so I'll be sure to do that if it doesn't fit how it is already. I'm sure it's not shown in the image, but I picked up the .032 oil restrictor and it fits perfect! Thanks for looking out though, and thanks for the compliments! I'll pass by your thread in a minute. I gotta shower!

Updates!
Today has been a very long day, but the hardest part is finally over.

The turbo is bolted up, all the lines are connected and the we ran the wires for the Tru Boost, all we have to do is ground 'em and set up the solenoid.

My GReddy intake comes in tomorrow (It's already in Florida!!), as well as my reducing coupler to fit my stock MAFS.

I had to take out the stock boost solenoid (thanks for the help Zak! been BBMing him all day lol) and figure out what I was going to do with the AEM solenoid but I've got it all figured out!

Changing one of the water lines is what probably took the majority of the time. I've never been so aggravated in my life! But we got it out and replaced it with the SS braided, so I'm very happy about that.

Also had to clock the turbo compressor housing along with the center where all the lines bolt up (It's possible! Just unbolt the turbine housing bolts and spin the center. Once you've done that and tightened it, then you clock the compressor housing). I would suggest leaving it loose and mounting it onto your manifold spinning the center to where you like it, tighten it with one bolt, take it out and tighten it the right way outside of the car. (Reason being, to bolt up the stock oil return, all the hoses lined up perfectly even after rotating the center!). Also had to modify the stock oil return holes to fit the stock one onto the GT28 (pics will be posted)

As for my exhaust, I'm going to keep the stock turbo elbow, re weld the flange on an SR20 down pipe I have in my garage (flange is already off, so it will make things a lot easier) just gotta pull out all my welding stuff, buy a test pipe from a friend for 20 bucks and pick up the Isis Exhaust from Enjuku racing with a 10% discount :D! Didn't get many 'cause my hands were a bit dirty!

Once we bolt up the intake and stuff, I'll be putting in new coolant tomorrow, fresh oil filter and oil (with some mystery oil to clean her up). It'll be brand new! :D.

I'll be sure to update tomorrow. The car is so close to starting it's bothering me!! Well, enough of the talking, more pics! Didn't get many 'cause my hands were a bit dirty, so yeah!

Started Saturday!
Image
Got all the crap out!
Image
Clocking the compressor housing the first day (Not knowing I would later have to pull it out again and clock the center -_-) luckily I didn't tighten all the way!

In the car the first night.

Sunday
Solenoid

All the s*** it was connected to

Don't really have many pictures for Sunday, seeing how it's the same crap.
Here's how the oil return fit before clocking:
Image
A little bit of drilling oil return line and clocking of the turbo:

Magic!

Don't worry about that line right in the middle of the pic, it wasn't bolted in at the time of the pic. Was mainly focusing on taking a pic of the oil return for Zak. Other than that, everything is bolted up and ready! Just like I said, I'm waiting on that intake, finishing up the Tru Boost and the exhaust! I'll be posting more pics of the progress tomorrow!

The car is on 4 jack stands an a car jack. The blocks are there just in case anything happens.. You can see in my first picture of the recent post, how the tire is not even touching the cinder block and you can see something orange behind the rim.

Alright, well I ran into a little bit of a problem today. My GReddy air intake suction kit for the Z32 MAFS came in today: http://www.frsport.com/Greddy-11920200- ... p_766.html
I was told to fit my MAFS I would need the 2.25"-3.00" reducing coupler, so I ordered one as well. Perfect, it fits great. Now I have a problem. The rubber part that combines the MAF to the actual filter =>
Image
does not fit my MAF (obviously) it's for the Z32 MAF.

The worst part is, the filter only works with that rubber piece =>
Image As you can see
so I can't use a regular adapter. It has to be one that bolts up to my MAF.

Well, on FRSport there is the same intake (Minus the piping and re-clocking kit) that fits the CA18DET. Problem is, it's 86 dollars and I believe 5 for shipping. Do any of you know where I can get the rubber piece itself?? Or if anyone has one for sale? I need this really bad, and I literally spent the last few dollars I had saved up on the kit! I'll have to squeeze out some money from my parents to hopefully only have to buy the one piece. Unfortunately for now I'll have to use the stock box and the aftermarket piping which kinda sucks 'cause I'd like to use the new filter! If not that exact piece, do you know what adapter I could use?!

Here's the GReddy filter for the CA18.
http://www.frsport.com/GReddy-12521001- ... 12552.html

Thanks in advance guys!
Gabriel.

Front lip I bought off a friend. It's just a SOHC lip, very easy to bolt on. The side skirts I go off eBay! They're 180SX OEM sideskirts.

Good amount of updates. Car is running strong as hell.

As for the intake, I made an adapter that fits my stock maf and the Z32 rubber piece using to metal sheets and a tube in between. I'll post up pictures later. Very simple!

My girlfriend's dad bought me an HKS SQV Version III. It was extremely unexpected, and he just wanted to buy it for me!

Picked up my ISIS MB SE Exhaust with the ISIS test pipe for 280 from a friend! Very happy about that, the exhaust alone is 321 (not including shipping!) So I got a great deal. I just ordered my ISIS CA18 Down pipe tonight, so it should be here this week, (they're located 4 hours away from my house). I wanted something that looks very clean, I'm not a fan of the huge canisters. I fell in love with this exhaust.

Thanks, and yes I do speak spanish. I used to love the pop-up lights more, but after getting this car and seeing it often I just fell in even more love with it. A lot more has been done, so I'll update when a couple more things get done.
