hey guys im new to the 240 scene i previously had z32 but crashed so now thats my project and the 240 is my daily hope to learn some stuff from u guys lemme post up some pics

the passenger light is bent like it was crashed ive been thinking about getting a new one but havent had the chance but i need to change the timing belt cause i think the tensioner is making noise but yea over all its a clean car i like it

on another note can anybody tell me more about the timing belt

the z was a little rough but it was a great car no mechanical problems just paint and the lip that last one is next to my cousins s14 we did the paint on that one it came out pretty nice hes here on nico just doesnt post up much

ahh nice. i always love the 300z's.

i was actually driving my friends 1990 around last night. its kind of nice having torque. lol

lolz yea its a little nicer but anyways im working on that while i drive this thing around altough i know it gonna be hard on a student budget but i figured i just get two jobs and that wat im doing now but first i need to fix that chain prob it sounds like that tensioner is hitting or something

its making a rattling noise when the cars running?

yea rattling when i check were the noise is coming from its like its coming from the cover were the timing chain is

its the chain hitting the guides. nissan put 2 guides in there, one on top, and one on the lower right side of the chain. after time the tensioner gets a little lazy and the chain starts to tick on the guides. not a big deal really, but youshould remove the guides. wont hurt it any. and in time, they chain can actually break off the guides if they hit them to long. THEN you have problems..

its all good. you might as well replace the tensioner while youre in there though. never hurts to be on the safe side
