Welcome!! I guess the first thing the guys in the CA forum are going to ask you is "Is it going to have a CA swapped in it or does it already have one?"

I love smacking SRs around.

I am going to be in Tempe/Chandler area next month to visit my mom for a week. If you need any help, I could pop by and give you a hand.

Welcome Aboard! Don't worry, I got the same response from my friends with the Sr's and Big Juice Ka's, it was funny until I brought her out and let her loose..All jaws dropped.

Thanks. It's my MGB that I've been working on over the past 7 months. I've pretty much completely rebuilt/modified everything in some way... I just finished the paint so I got a pic to put in the sig. I'm planning to take it to the track in July, looking for low 12's....

First off welcome to NICO and the CA forums. I agree with 1via and Oversteer180, do not get your clip from flashoptions. I know a couple of people who ordered motorsets from them a couple of years ago and still havent gotten them and I'm sure they never will. I would suggest one of NICO's sponsers. Jarco and jhot are good reputable places as well. Or contact Dee "Boostboy", I paid for my motorset and it arrived 3 days later. How's that for service. And no complaints about my motor i got what so ever.

It the factory "ST" (special tuning) air dam. I got mine new from Moss motors. It's fiberglass, so it'll need a little fitting, but mine wasn't bad.

So you guys recommend Jarco and JHot? Its good to know where others have bought their engines from, especially reputable places. How much did you guys pay from either one, shipped, and what did they include?

I know this other one, http://www.jdmsource.ca, thats where my brother got his Japanese H22A from. They actually did a pretty good job aswell. Right now im considering them because thats really the only one i know. They took pictures of the engine, steam cleaned it, wrapped it in plastic, shipped it on a pallet, did compression and leakdown tests, stayed in contact with him, and gave him tracking information. My brother talked to the guy for me, and said he would get me the CA18DET for $1350.00 shipped. Includding intercooler, pipping and any other miscellaneous items i might need.

I got mine from Venus. My experience was medeocre. At the time they were the only option. Jhot is VERY reputable, but don't often have CA's in stock.

I purchased my 2nd CA18 from JazzProPart.com from Texas. My brother got an SR20 from there, and the wiring was hacked up. They sent him a brand new harness @ no extra cost. My friend has an H22 from them. I, however, got my CA for $1,000 (trans-not included) and it came with a hole in the oil pan, and a blown turbo. The engine has low miles and is very good though. I've heard good and bad about them, as well as Venus.Good Luck!
