Hey everyone, My name's Chris from North-West Louisiana. I just bought a 1994 240 and I can honestly say I'm in love. There's only one major problem with it and that's the fact that it's an automatic. It still drifts like crazy. Then again i did come from drivin a large truck so i guess anything drifts well in comparison. My friend has a 1989 240 and i drove his and i just got addicted.

I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. I'll have pics of the car soon. My friend also has a video of my drifting through rural Shreveport so I'll see if I can get ahold of that too. Ya'll have fun and keep those 240's sideways.

If u wanna see pics of it, it's the exact same car as the first one in "Post pics of your 'vert here." Only difference is the engine, haven't had time to sawp it for a red top yet, thats first on the list, and its still got the 7 spoke alloys on it. Cosmeticly its got a scrape on the front right(previous owner can't park!!) and a large dent on the back left from one of her friends who can't park( anyone see a patern?). Oh yeah and the sleepy eyes.

The lady that owned it before me never drove it over 65 mph. It's kinda sad. I'm absolutely sure it will peg out the speedometer at 4000. I still gotta find a 5 speed, the automatic is kinda nice sometimes, but i miss hittin those gears flyin down the interstate. Well, I have to go to work in the mornin so I'm out. "What do you mean by buckle up and hold on......HOLY SH**!!!" -Corey- right after i got the 240

Hi Chris. Any problems with the transmission? I have a 94 too, and sometimes it just doesn't shift right. Not gonna switch to a manual, though. Too lazy/busy to shift. Can't smoke, drink, talk on phone, wave to everyone AND shift.

Hey sarge, I haven't had any problems with it yet. I read your post about your's. I'm swapping to the 5 speed because I learned on a standard and that's all I have driven. I really like the automatic and cruise control, but I miss the feel and control of a clutch and gears. Well, good luck with that whoel shif thing. If I run itno the same problem I'll be sure to let you know. The car's kinda out of commision right now. 18 wheeler ran me off of I-20. The car's fine, just has a bent tie rod and needs a new tie rod end. Then I have to get it into the shop and let my friend check out the rack and pinion and all that. I managed to miss the walls so the exterior is fine but, I ended up in a ditch, then hit a drop off, and bent that rod. That's fixable though. Well, I have to go to work. Bye

Chris:

Welcome aboard! I just got a '93 vert in July, and I live down here in Lafayette. I'm NOT a drifter, though. My car is a daily driver, and a weekend "get-away-from-the-minivan" cruiser!

Anyway, welcome.
