Hi guys

I stumbled across your forum the other day and have been trawling through it ever since.
So much information. It's great!!
CA's aren't very popular here in Australia. The SR having so much choice in aftermarket support.
People usually drive CA's into the ground and replace with something bigger.

I do have a couple questions before I go nuts with vehicle specs.

What car does the 4 port head come in? It's the one thing I haven't been able to find.
And what benefits does it have over the 8 port setup?

Also. infiniti j30 hubs. Are they hard to find? In Australia we don't have a similar model to raid for parts.
And are they a simple install?


I have a 1989 180sx. I have had it for about 5yrs now. I got it as a fresh import, registered straight into my name.
It is quite modified, so i am probably going to miss a fiew things.

Greetings from australia aswell.

In regards to the 4 port head they only came out in the europen 180sx's/silvia's, mostly found in the UK.
I imported one from the UK afew years ago for my build, i got it of the sxoc.com forums.
The benefit of the 4 port vs the 8 port is obviously the 4 ports as it eliminates the butterfly system
and also places the injector in the centre so both valves have fuel coming in as opposed to the 8 port
where you have a dry port. Plus i noticed the 4 port heads make more power compared to the 8 port heads with similar mods but it has been disputed that the 4 port heads have any flow benefit over the 8 port.

It isn't only the UK, every 200sx s13 in Germany has a 4 port stuck on it.

Yea, everything in Europe in general got the 4 port head. Asia and the US got the 8 port. Not sure about Africa or the Middle East. I dont' know if they were ever sold there, so I would assume they would all be imports and could be anything.
