New Guy Probally Typical Questions

Ok, I drive a 97 altima...I love the car, but I think it is time to move on. I wanted to stick with Nissan, and I know the Ka24de very well...

I am in the market for a 240, and I was wondering what your recommendations were, problems and whatever. I like the s14 body style. Now I have read the FAQs, and the stickys and I know to do searches (anyone from altimas.net does). As far as the S14 is concerned, are there any years to stay away from, common problems (like alternators, notorious for going on the altima, same with motor mounts). I saw that all the SEs came with LSD (another requirement) and was wondering if this were true? Also how is the aftermarket support for the S14? I saw in a post that people with the SR swap run 12s in the 1/4 stock? I thought that was a little low, but again was wondering if true. Thanks for all your help, and hopefully I will be buying soon.

No all se's do not come with lsd or abs it is an option and with the SR I believe it is only 13's you run in the 1/4 mine is a 96 SE just to let you know and I rolled 90K on the car tonight and it runs like a top

Just search, there's so many threads floating around about which models are the best, and the many differences.

one more question, is there a page (i did search) that has pics of all the models s13 s14 etc coupes and hatches all on the page so I could compare everything. I just did some more searching and found some interesting conversions and what not. Thanks for all the help.

my s14 is in the sig, and blink0r's is in his sig. those are you two choices. oh yea, you can get a coupe s13 also.
