Hey Guys, im new to the scene here and have some questions. First off i am only 15 so i dont have a car yet, and i was looking at a 95 240Sx. Which version is that (s13, s14, s15)Second, i have heard alot about a KB24 or Kb024, or something along those line, engine swaps. Are these easily accomplished, and how much does it cost for me to do it. Also where can i buy everything.Third is, is the KB24 reliable. Is the Stock aswell.

Fourth, is a 95 a good year or should i go later or back. I plan to have a bodykit and other External features, so looks isnt a issue.

Fifth, Is a 95 240Sx a "Silvia"

Sixth, Um... Thanks for your help

still young and a lot to learn young grasshopper...

it's a s14 chasis and yes it's a silvia

stock engine is KA24DE,of course the silvia comes with the SR motor

But if daddy buys you this car, it will most definitely NOT be a Slivia. No matter what you have under the hood, or what silly badges you have on the exterior, it will always be a 240SX.

Most of your questions can be answered through searching a reading.

Edit: You're 15. You won't know how to drive/handle the car properly for a LONG time. Dreaming about the engine swaps is nice, but please don't just jump into one.

The only thing I can think you're confusing that with is the car not being a "Silvia." I was simply stating there were never any "Silvia's" made in the U.S., therefore, you would have a 240SX, not a "Silvia."

I was trying to pre-emptively ward off any misconceptions that many new people often have.

Edit: S13GUY, either way...more posts. And I'm SOOOO close to my T51R's an NOS so no loss for me.

89-94=s1395-96=s14a96-97=s14bka24e is stock in 89-90(sohc) and ka24de is stock in 91-98(dohc)silvia is the 240sx in japan with differant headlightssr20det comes stock on silvia(turbo)THIS IS THE MOST BASIC INFO. START READING MORE THREADS.

the cost for a ka24DE is about $900, the cost of a alright Sr20det without the clip is $1500, with is a little more, the Skyline engine with clip is about $4000. But like it was said earlier, dont just jump into one, im only 17 and I still have a lot to learn about driving, and the only way to learn is to practice. Just get the license first.

last friday i sprayed AXE bodyspray on my crotch area on my jeans in english class and lit it with a bic lighter. It was funny and i did my shirt next. yeah stupid, but i go to an all guy school so girls dont think ima jackass haha
