Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to this forum. I'm usually on IS300.net/My.IS. Since I own a IS300. I'll be trading it in or saling it for either the 350Z or the EVO The G35 wasn't what i expected when i test drove it. My IS seems to drive better then the G. I test drove the Z and the EVo also. I fell in love with the way the EVO felt, but insurance and matinance are going to be a pain in the butt compared to the Z. Also all I really want is 300hp and both give me about the same. The Z up's are that its more grown up not "ricerish" and its a nice 2 door sports car so I dont have to drive all my friends around since its a 2 seater. What would you guys say is better bang for the buck? <Please try not to be bias>

Hi!

Welcome to NICO!

Well this thread kinda covers most of what you are asking....zerothread?id=94257

I still love my Z. When you buy a Z, not only do you get a great car but you also get into a great group of people. Between NICO and your local Z club you will be set!

Yea I read it. Very informative, but the only problem with the Z is that its a 2 seater. What if something happens? this is going to be my Daily Driver.

Thats a good point!

I sold a Vette to get mine so the 2 seat thing was something I was used to.

If you want a 4-seat 350Z, get a G35...

yup depending on your situation, if you are a daily driver, i know a bunch of guys with a Z as their daily driver. For me, its gotta be in the garage til i get the need for speed! ...and looks of course. Never owned a G35, but proud owner of 3 Z cars over 16 years.

Lived in Monterey Park at the time too!

evo are decent and they are quick but they have many clutch, transmission probllems. its hte same motor from the eclipse GSX. with more boost. its an ok motor. but i would go for a 350 if u dont want to worry abotu maintainence.

You are in the same position I was in when deciding on what car to buy for myself. I drove the 350Z, EVO, and STI. All of them drove good, but I liked the way the 350 felt the best and its rear wheel drive and that's more of what I was looking for. I work with EVOs' all day at the shop I work for and they do have there clutch and transmission problems but, the engine is pretty strong.
