RUN!!!! The only way that rod is knocking is because the engine (most likely OCI) was severely abused. That implies teh rest of the car was treated in a like manner. There are many other still maintained expamples of this car out there that will be less headache on the long run.Royalty wrote:well as far as i know it has a rod knocking.

Sure u put about a good 100 grand in and u will be just rite.... but dam the pain and stress in between that time.... pfft.. I wouldnt.. And as for Maxnix, HE IS THE BIGGEST PAIN IN THE ARSE ON THIS SITE (imho) But he knows his stuff, and he is dam good. He can tell u about ur car better than you can and he is hardly ever wrong. With his help, you will get far and not stuck on a dark road with no phone reception. i still love ya maxnix.. One day ill throw a set of 24s on your Q for ya :-)
It's real easy to risk other's moneys or cars.JOHNQ wrote:give him $1500-2000 for it , change all fluids, put lucas in the oil and tranns with the fluid change and if the noise is still there sell it for what you bought it for
I don't know about the transmission, but I will definitely NOT advise putting Lucas in your oil. I've seen a clip online where the lucas doesn't mix well with the oil. Don't get brainwashed by the "turning gearwheel" display you see at AAP and AZ.JOHNQ wrote:give him $1500-2000 for it , change all fluids, put lucas in the oil and tranns with the fluid change and if the noise is still there sell it for what you bought it for
Lotions, potions, and tonics can not magically "repair" a wornout or broken hard part......despite what they claim.JOHNQ wrote:give him $1500-2000 for it , change all fluids, put lucas in the oil and tranns with the fluid change and if the noise is still there sell it for what you bought it for
My point exactly.. i think he would kill me for even putting it close to his car.. But thats a face that would be priceles to see. As for this subject i think its over.. u have enuf comments and honest opinions to make ur own. Its ur money and ur headache.. hope u make the right decision.... BTW... the cheapest parts u can prolly find for ur car is at Oreilly, and its not recomended. But best way to do this is.. What is the worst scenario? Can this car be part of the worst scenario? If so, price all parts at Oreilly.... Now find a book or a good friend or ask a mechanic what the book time to fix these things are? Now multiply that by 75$Jesda wrote:I would pay good money to see our friend Brian driving a donk.
Next you are going to tell me the Great Pumpkin and Santa Claus won't be showing up this year. Fie on you, sir!qship96 wrote:

Always the best strategy to get the one you want and will be worth maintaining.Royalty wrote:
