Oh lordy lordy lord. Thank you wise internet poster for showing us the way, no more street racin' fo us masta.

We definitely will listen to you over the internet oh all knowing one.

Back ON TOPIC:That should be all you need, check in the head for any bad stuff and clean it up before you stick it back on.Also, FYI some people have trouble with cometic head gaskets bc they need really smooth contact points. I would go with a felpro if you dont plan on getting your head machined.

I don't see why you were racing another car on the highway, your car is slow, you know its slow, the guy in the slow RX7 knows its slow... what did you have to prove?

Make sure your head isn't warped.

I guess. I have a click/knocking sound coming from the head, not the block. Coming from under the valve cover. I think it's either the cams or som s*** in there. What do u think it might be???

well, is it a click, or a knock?

How did you blow the head gasket anyway? Did you over-rev the piss out of it or something? Are you boosted? Running low octane fuel? These engines are pretty stout in stock form.

Miata huh? They're so ugly, there so slow. Even with the RX-7 rotary engine sexiness, I still wouldn't own one. Anyway, OP, you're gonna need some other gaskets besides your head gasket.

Get a head set from either Felpro, or Victor Reinz. It will have everything you need, excluding head bolts (GET NEW ONES!!!!), to put it back together. Felpro is good for stock, and Victor Reinz is more or less used on performance engines.
