I have an 82' SD22 longbed, but the body is pretty rusted out,(one of the tail-lights has fallen out), I was wondering if its possible to move the engine, since it still runs fine, to my now defunct 86' B2000, whose body is still in great shape. What would it take to do this, if I can?
Thanks for any help!

Nearly any engine swap is possible with the right amount of modification. Because this is such a rare swap, it is going to be very difficult to find existing information. You're probably going to have to do some research into both the Mazda and the Datsun to figure out how to do it. I doubt anyone on here has specific experience or knowledge.

Well, chances are it's probably not just going to "drop right in", but seeing as how its carbureted, it shouldn't be TOO bad, you might just have to make your own motor/trans mounts, and driveshaft.

Thanks for the answers, but what would you suggest I look into first? I was thinking maybe comparing the size of the bell-housing's, and finding out the difference's between the engine mountings?

^This. Start simple. Measure everything and go from there. It's just going to be a slow process because it's a new swap and you are in uncharted territory. Take a ton of pictures and document everything. Start a build thread. And last, but not least, don't cut anything until you are absolutely sure of what you're doing. :)
